Description:
The Board of the IAVCEI Commission on the Chemistry on Volcanic Gases (CCVG) has the honor to invite the scientific community working on all aspects related to the study of volcanic gases to the “First Virtual Workshop: A new decade of volcanic gas research” to be held online on the 24th and 26th May 2021. This event seeks to bring together our community that could not meet this year in the Field Workshop due to the current pandemic, to present updates on research and discuss on research paths for the next decade, within a friendly, inclusive and open atmosphere.
Topics of interest:
- Fundamental studies of magmatic volatiles: theory, models, and experiments
- Applied studies of magmatic volatiles: field observations, measurement techniques and impact of volcanic emissions
- Case studies: volcanic emissions during eruptive and unrest periods
- Announcements of general interest
